🧊 Handling a 20 Buy-In Downswing 📉

Losing 20 buy-ins feels like the world is against you. Your Aces get cracked, flush draws miss, and bluffs get snapped off. But here is the hard truth: it happens to everyone.

The difference between a pro and a fish is not how they win, but how they handle the downswings. How do you keep a "Cold Mindset" when the graph is red?

Survival Guide

  • Variance is Math, Not Magic: A 20 BI swing is statistically possible even for winning players. Don't take it personally.
  • Check Your Game: Are you really running bad, or has tilt affected your decisions? Review your biggest losing pots objectively.
  • Bankroll Management: If your roll can't handle the swing, move down a limit immediately. Ego costs money.
  • Stop the Bleeding: If you feel emotional, quit the session. The tables will be there tomorrow.
